Listen Up: Tricky – ‘Nothing’s Changed’

Νέο άλμπουμ ετοιμάζει ο παλιόφιλος Tricky το οποίο θα τιτλοφορείται False Idols και θα κυκλοφορήσει μέσω της δικής του False Idols στις 27 & 28/5/2013. Όπως αναφέρεται και στην πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα ανακοίνωση στο site του, το άλμπουμ θα σηματοδοτήσει μια επιστροφή στον 90s ήχο του (“The spirit of Tricky’s ‘90s output looms large over False Idols.”) και όχι μόνο αφού όπως δηλώνει

“I was lost for ages, I was trying to prove something to people, trying to do something to please other people and also myself at the same time, which is never going to work. To be honest with you, I’ve been floating around since Chris Blackwell and Island. My last two albums [σ.σ. Knowle West Boy - 2008, Mixed Race - 2010], I thought they were good, but I realize now they weren’t. This album is about me finding myself again.”

Σαφώς θα έχει ενδιαφέρον να ακούσουμε πως μεταφράζονται όλα αυτά στο επερχόμενο False Idols στο οποίο συμπεριλαμβάνεται μια διασκευή σε Van Morrison (‘Somebody’s Sins’) και θα συμμετέχουν στα φωνητικά οι Francesca Belmonte, Nneka, Peter Silberman (The Antlers), κλπ.
