Υπάρχει μια Hipster Barbie στο Instagram που μας δουλεύει όλους

Κούπες latte με περίτεχνα και κάπως κλισέ σχέδια πάνω στο αφρόγαλα, δίπλα σε κουλτουριάρικα περιοδικά, εντυπωσιακά ηλιοβασιλέματα σε εξωτικά τοπία, λαχταριστές λιχουδιές φωτογραφημένες έτσι ώστε να δένουν χρωματικά με το περιβάλλον, ονειρεμένα ρούχα, δεκάδες στιγμές πολυτελούς χαλάρωσης και ατελείωτα ταξίδια.

Αυτή είναι η βασική θεματική των φωτογραφιών της «Hipster» Barbie στο Instagram και κάτι μας λέει πως μας δουλεύει μέσα στα μούτρα μας. Ίσως, βέβαια, και να το αξίζουμε.

Η Hipster Barbie -το επίσημο όνομα της οποίας στο Instagram είναι Socality Barbie- είναι η νέα αγαπημένη συνήθεια του παγκόσμιου ίντερνετ. Παίρνοντας έμπνευση από τον τρόπο που χειριζόμαστε τα κοινωνικά δίκτυα, η Hipster Barbie κάνει ανελέητη σάτιρα πάνω στις «ψεύτικες» ζωές που διαφημίζουμε στους λογαριασμός μας στο Instagram. Χρησιμοποιεί μέχρι και τα ίδια, δήθεν hashtags με τον ίδιο τρόπο που το κάνουμε κι εμείς (#blessed, #vscocam, #liveaunthetic), κάτω από «καλλιτεχνικές», στημένες φωτογραφίες τις οποίες, ας το παραδεχτούμε, όλοι έχουμε τραβήξει. Ακόμα και οι λεζάντες με τις οποίες συνοδεύει τις φωτογραφίες της θα σας θυμίσουν πολλές από αυτές που βλέπετε καθημερινά στο Instagram -ή ακόμα και κάποιες δικές σας.

Η αμερικάνικη Huffington Post μίλησε με την «Socality Barbie» ή, για την ακρίβεια, με τη γυναίκα που κρύβεται πίσω από τη δημιουργία του φανταστικού αυτού -και άκρως ειρωνικού- λογαριασμού, η οποία όμως δεν ήθελε να αποκαλύψει την πραγματική της ταυτότητα. Όπως είπε, είναι «Απλά μια άγνωστη που ζει στο Portland του Oregon και μόνο οι στενοί φίλοι και οι συγγενείς μου γνωρίζουν την ταυτότητά μου». Στην πραγματική της ζωή είναι φωτογράφος γάμων και αποφάσισε να ξεκινήσει την Socality Barbie πριν από τρεις μήνες.

«Δημιούργησα την SB καθαρά και μόνο για δική μου ευχαρίστηση και για την ευχαρίστηση των φίλων μου. Ήταν ένας ανάλαφρος και διασκεδαστικός τρόπος για πειράξω, για πλάκα, όλους αυτούς που χρησιμοποιούν τα hashtag “Socality” και “LiveAuthentic”. Όλους αυτούς που βγάζουν τις ίδιες φωτογραφίες, στα ίδια μέρη, χρησιμοποιώντας τις ίδιες “μεγαλόπνοες” λεζάντες», είπε η δημιουργός. «Πώς γίνεται να είσαι αυθεντικός και να αποτελείς έμπνευση για κάποιον, όταν ακολουθείς το πλήθος; Σκέφτηκα πως, αν χρησιμοποιούσα μια κούκλα μαζικής παραγωγής θα ήταν ο καλύτερος τρόπος για να τονίσω αυτό το θέμα».
