Χειρίζεται μοναδικά το ψαροντούφεκο και οι ακτιβιστές την αποκαλούν δολοφόνο

"Δολοφόνο" χαρακτηρίζουν ακτιβιστές για τα δικαιώματα των ζώων μια 28χρονη που κάνει υποβρύχιο ψάρεμα καθώς στις φωτογραφίες που ανεβάζει στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα φαίνεται να κρατά στα χέρια τις ψάρια που έχει σκοτώσει με το ψαροντούφεκό της.

Ο λόγος για την Καναδή Valentine Thomas που ζει στο Λονδίνο αλλά γυρνάει τις θάλασσες όλου του κόσμου για να κάνει το χόμπι του.

"Οι άνθρωποι με αποκαλούν δολοφόνο", είπε στην Daily Mail και πρόσθεσε "Αντιμετωπίζω σεξισμό και μίσος, αλλά έχω δεχθεί επίσης και προτάσεις γάμου."

Το 2010, η γαλλόφωνη καναδή μετακόμισε από το Μόντρεαλ στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, και πείστηκε από έναν φίλο της να ολοκληρώσει μια σειρά μαθημάτων κατάδυσης στην Αίγυπτο.

Στη συνέχεια, ταξίδεψε στους νήσους Αναλήψεως στο νότιο Ατλαντικό όπου κάνοντας καταδύσεις ερωτεύτηκε το άθλημα.

Sometimes, I find it quite hard as a woman to find spearfishing gear that is suitable for me. Over the past 4 years, I've seen a massive increase in companies making more lady friendly equipment.
