No household without electricity and heating, SYRIZA says

SYRIZA suggested that poor households and the unemployed should be entitled to 300 kwh a month free electricity, power rates and that the price of heating oil should be reduced, the option of settlements to repay overdue bills should be introduced and the criteria necessary for consumers to be eligible for the Social Residential Tariff, made available to vulnerable social groups by the Public Power Corporation (PPC), should be extended.

SYRIZA underlined that it supports those who are affected by the crisis, the unemployed, low income earners and pension recipients.

“We fight for our rights and raise a shield of resistance and solidarity against the power disconnections and the looting of public goods,” the SYRIZA announcement concluded.
