Greeks (AN.EL) criticized the government for the measures announced against air pollution which is caused by small airborne particles produced by fireplaces and wood-burning stoves used as alternative heating sources.
KKE accused the government that instead of solving the problem it tries to limit its impact and underlined that the only effective measure is the abolition of the anti-popular taxation on heating oil and the drastic reduction of electricity rates.
AN.EL parliamentary spokesman Notis Marias underlined that the government “refuses to lower the heating oil price by using cheap excuses.”
