Greek stocks soar 4.8 pct on Friday

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index jumped 4.76 pct and the Mid Cap index ended 4.47 pct higher. Alpha Bank (8.81 pct), GEK Terna (8.77 pct), PPC (8.48 pct), MIG (7.20 pct) and Frigoglass (7.07 pct) were top

gainers among blue chip stocks, while Terna Energy was the only blue chip stock to end lower (-2.51 pct).

Commerce: 5.30 pct
Constructions: 5.49 pct
Oil/Gas: 0.95 pct
Personal/Home Products: 5.98 pct
Raw Materials: 5.12 pct
Travel: 5.83 pct
Technology: 3.11 pct
Telecoms: 6.33 pct
Banks: 4.85 pct
Food/Beverage: 2.25 pct
Health: 4.20 pct
Utilities: 6.58 pct
Financial Services: 6.99 pct
Broadly, advancers led decliners by 105 to 36 with another 27 issues unchanged. Forthnet (19.86 pct), Vioter (19.85 pct) and Sidma (19.29 pct) were top gainers, while Parnassos (18.18 pct), Atti-kat (17.65 pct) and Pasal (14.97 pct) were top losers.
Alpha Bank, Piraeus Bank, MIG and Europaiki Pisti were the most heavily traded stocks of the day, while OTE, Piraeus Bank and AlphaBank recorded the biggest value of transactions. The market’s capitalization totaled 68.412 billion euros.
