Οι ζωγραφιές που βλέπεις δεν είναι απλές ζωγραφιές πάνω σε χαρτί. Έχουν έναν πολύ ιδιαίτερο σκοπό κι αποτελούν πράξη αγάπης!

Ο 12χρονος Nicholas δεν ανυπομονεί να πάει κάθε μέρα σχολείο και να δει τι του έχουν βάλει οι γονείς του για κολατσιό, αλλά για να δει την ζωγραφιά στο σακουλάκι του γεύματός του!

Ο πατέρας του, τα τελευταία 3 χρόνια, του ζωγραφίζει κάθε μέρα από κάτι διαφορετικό πάνω στο σακουλάκι που βάζει μέσα το κολατσιό του προκειμένου να αποκτήσει περισσότερη αυτοπεποίθηση.

Μπορεί ο γιος του να είναι πλέον στο Γυμνάσιο, όμως, ο πατέρας διατηρεί την παράδοση. Όπως

εξηγεί ο ίδιος, του παίρνει περίπου μια ώρα η κάθε ζωγραφιά και μέσα σ’ αυτά τα χρόνια άλλες έχουν βγει πιο επιτυχημένες κι άλλες λιγότερο!

Εμείς απλά τον θαυμάζουμε!

Last month, I went to visit a few 6th grade classes to explain how I decorate lunch bags once a month for the homeless in conjunction with the awesome folks at @hashtaglunchbag. As a one hour assignment, the teacher had them all design, color, and finish one brown paper bag for a future charity event. But anyone who knows children, knows not all of them have a high attention span. So, occasionally I will have to step in after they all submit their bags, to complete the idea they had in mind before they were distracted by a random shiny object.
