On Monday, Papoulias will also meet with main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras at 14:45 following Tsipras' request.

Samaras is expected to brief the president on the crucial stage of the negotiations with the troika of Greece's lenders, the debt issues as well as on the country's exit from the memorandum, ahead of 8th December's Eurogroup and the EU Summit on December 18.

Moreover, the premier will refer to the EEZ and to the Turkish provocations ahead of his visit to Nicosia on November 7 and on November 8 to Cairo for the first tripartite meeting among Greece, Cyprus and Egypt.

On his part, Tsipras is expected to present to Papoulias his party's positions on the management of the 11.4 billion euro of the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund for which SYRIZA wants to remain in the Fund's availability as well as on the negotiations with the troika on the debt.

Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis will also meet with Papoulias on Tuesday. Kouvelis will propose, as he has already announced, a political party leaders meeting in order a national consensus to be reached over the settlement of the debt issue.
