Το God of War κυριάρχησε στα φετινά βραβεία και αυτό φάνηκε από τις νίκες του.

Το παιχνίδι, όχι μόνο έλαβε τον τίτλο "Game Of The Year", αλλά γύρισε σπίτι με 9 βραβεία σε 23 κατηγορίες, ενώ ο περσινός νικητής, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, πήρε μόλις τέσσερα.
