National Bank and Alpha Bank in merger talks

Roumors concerning merger between the National bank of Greece (NBG) and Alpha Bank circulated in the market prompting the Stock Exchange to halt the trade of there stocks. The story has been circulating enough time. Minutes later Athens Stock Exchange emailed an announcement that the two banks had privately agreed on friendly merger at 3rd of February.
