Greek, Chinese premiers visit Piraeus Port

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and the Chinese premier Li Keqiang are currently visiting Cosco containers terminal at Piraeus port. Earlier, the two officials toured the archaeological site of the Acropolis.

Samaras and Keqiang will address the Greek-Chinese Forum of Maritime Cooperation. "It is a strategic relation that will proceed gradually with a specific agenda and planning," said Samaras on Thursday adding that "our aim is friendship, cooperation, stability, exports and imports and to bring China closer to Europe and vice versa."

On his part, Keqiang noted that the Chinese government supports the Greek one and that the "relations can become mutually beneficial".
