Admin. Reform minister calls for permanent mobility mechanism in public sector

Asked whether it was possible to request from the troika of Greece’s creditors an extension in the second mobility wave, Mitsotakis said, “We do not want to act hastily. This is something we will discuss in one month. The more consistent we are, the more powerful we will become in the negotiations with the troika”.

However, Mitsotakis noted that a small number of layoffs in public sector will derive from the the mobility reserves.

Asked on the plans by teachers to strike once the schools start in September, Mitsotakis stressed that “the government will not accept closed schools, not even for a single day”.
