Η Meghan Markle στη Vogue κάνει την επανάσταση! Γίνεται αρχισυντάκτρια για ένα μήνα και παρουσιάζει 15+1 γυναίκες- σύμβολα της εποχής μας.

Το ότι η Δούκισσα του Sussex έχει αποφασίσει να «σπάσει» τα καθιερωμένα και να γίνει η πιο «επιδραστική γαλαζοαίματη» το ξέρουμε ήδη. Αλλά κάθε φορά μας εκπλήσσει με τις αποφάσεις της.

Αυτή τη φορά γίνεται guest editor στη Vogue και αρχισυντάκτρια

για ένα τεύχος, παρουσιάζοντας προσωπικότητες γυναικών που θαυμάζει. Είναι περιττό να πούμε πως είναι το πρώτο μέλος της βασιλικής οικογένειας που γίνεται guest editor στη Βίβλο της Μόδας.

Στο εξώφυλλο της Vogue Σεπτεμβρίου, που θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 2 Αυγούστου, βλέπουμε 15+1 γυναίκες που έχει επιλέξει η Meghan Markle.

Με υπέρτιτλο «Forces for Change» («Οι δυνάμεις της αλλαγής»), η Vogue φιλοξενεί γυναίκες που έχουν διακριθεί στην πολιτική, στον ακτιβισμό, στην μόδα, την ηθοποιία, γυναίκες- ύμνο στη διαφορετικότητα, το body positive, τα δικαιώματα των τρανσέξουαλ. Οι γυναίκες αυτές μιλούν, μεταξύ άλλων, για την αλλαγή του κλίματος και την προστασία του πλανήτη.

Ουσιαστικά, η Δούκισσα του Sussex ανέλαβε χρέη αρχισυντάκτριας για το τεύχος του Σεπτεμβρίου, το οποίο μάλιστα θα περιλαμβάνει και μια συζήτηση της ίδιας με την Michelle Obama.

Η 16η θέση στο εξώφυλλο μένει κενή και είναι ένας «καθρέφτης» όπου ο αναγνώστης ή η αναγνώστρια θα δει τον εαυτό του!

«Οι τελευταίοι αυτοί επτά μήνες είναι μια διαδικασία επιβράβευσης… το να αναλάβω το πιο πολυδιαβασμένο τεύχος της χρονιάς και να το επικεντρώσω στις αξίες, στους στόχους και στους ανθρώπους που επηρεάζουν σήμερα τον κόσμο», δήλωσε σχετικά η Meghan Markle.

Όπως ανέφερε ο αρχισυντάκτης του περιοδικού Edward Enninful, η Δούκισσα του Sussex έβρισκε «αλαζονικό» το να είναι η ίδια στο εξώφυλλο. «Ο Edward της ζήτησε να βρεθεί στο εξώφυλλο αλλά δεν ήταν κάτι που ήθελε. Έτσι, η Δούκισσα τον ρώτησε: “Θα ήθελες να είμαι guest editor;”. A sneak peek of the #ForcesForChange video for the September Issue of @BritishVogue. Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex is the first Guest Editor for British Vogue’s September Issue and for the last seven months has worked to create an issue of inclusivity and inspiration, focusing on what connects us rather than what divides us. Fifteen women were chosen for the cover including New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who generously lent her time to support The Duchess in this important issue. The women first met last autumn during Their Royal Highness’ official tour of New Zealand. Above, PM Ardern says: “One change that I’ve noticed over the course of my career, is just how polarised the world is now. I do think there is a solution to that though, and that’s ultimately us coming back to the humanity that we all share." Thank you PM Ardern for being an amazing force for change.
