Επίσημο: Subaru Impreza Sedan Concept [w/video]

Λιγότερο από ένα μήνα μετά την παρουσίαση από την Subaru στην έκθεση του Τόκιο του Impreza 5-Door concept, το οποίο μας έδειξε πως θα μοιάζει η επόμενη γενιά της hatchback έκδοσης του Impreza, η οποία και θα παρουσιαστεί κάποια στιγμή μέσα στο 2017, η ιαπωνική εταιρία έφερε στο Los Angeles το Impreza Sedan Concept.

Όπως καταλαβαίνεις πολύ καλά, εδώ βλέπουμε μερικά από τα στοιχεία που

θα έχει η sedan έκδοση του μοντέλου, με τις μόνες διαφορές να εντοπίζονται στο πίσω μέρος. Ο τρίτος όγκος διαθέτει και αυτός έντονες και δυναμικές ακμές, όπως ακριβώς συμβαίνει και στο εμπρός, ενώ τα φωτιστικά σώματα έχουν C σχεδιασμό.

Σε σχέση με το 5-θυρο μοντέλο, οι διαστάσεις του παραμένουν απαράλλαχτες και μόνο το μήκος έχει αυξηθεί κατά 115 χλστ. και φτάνει τα 4.555 χλστ., με το πλάτος του να είναι στα 1.880 χλστ., το ύψος του τα 1.453 χλστ. και το μεταξόνιο να μένει ίδιο στα 2.670 χλστ. Τέλος, το πρωτότυπο πατάει σε ζάντες 19 ιντσών με ελαστικά διαστάσεων 235/40.

Τεχνικές λεπτομέρειες για το πρωτότυπο δεν αποκάλυψε η Subaru, αλλά τόνισε πως η σχεδιαστική φιλοσοφία του Impreza Sedan Concept θα χρησιμοποιηθεί στα μελλοντικά μοντέλα της. Μένει να δούμε αν η Subaru το τολμήσει και περάσει τον σχεδιασμό του πρωτότυπου στη παραγωγή, μιας και τόσα χρόνια, όλα τα πανέμορφα πρωτότυπα της, αποκτούν άκρως συντηρητικό σχεδιασμό όταν περνούν στη παραγωγή, με την sedan έκδοση να απευθύνεται κατά πάσα πιθανότητα μόνο στην αμερικάνικη αγορά.

Όπως και να έχει, το επόμενο Impreza, όσο κοντά ή μακριά είναι σχεδιαστικά από τις δύο “σπουδές” της Subaru, θα βασίζεται στη νέα και ελαφρύτερη “Global Platform” της φίρμας και θα κινούνται από την επόμενη γενιά boxer κινητήρων που υπόσχονται μειωμένη κατανάλωση και εκπομπές ρύπων.

Subaru “Impreza Sedan Concept” Makes World Debut at 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show

Tokyo, November 19, 2015 – Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, today unveiled the “Impreza Sedan Concept” at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Impreza Sedan Concept is a design concept car previewing the next-generation Impreza which is to be the first one of Subaru’s next-generation strategic vehicles envisioned in FHI’s Mid-Term Management Vision “Prominence 2020” announced in May 2014. While positioned as an entry model in the Subaru lineup, its compact body features a blend of bold expressions of Subaru’s Dynamic & Solid design elements and a quality feel beyond its class – hinting at the design direction not only of the new Impreza but of Subaru’s future models as a whole.

Main Features of Impreza Sedan Concept

The front, sides, and rear are seamlessly joined in the Dynamic & Solid surface structure, creating a three-dimensional and solid body that is a feature of Subaru styling. The dynamism is enhanced by well-placed character lines on the compact sedan style. The design expression of “Enjoyment and Peace of Mind”, the value that Subaru provides to its customers, is fully pursued within the limits of the C-segment body size. In the area of functionality essential to a Subaru car, excellent aerodynamic performance is achieved while blending this functionality into the styling. As exterior color, “Ruby Red Metallic” is adopted in pursuit of sporty and energetic impression. By teaming with glossy-black accents, high-quality feel is also achieved as well as its sportiness.

• FrontThe Subaru look is seen in the Wide & Low stance with its sporty impression, and in the unified three-dimensional structure extending from the hexagonal grille that symbolizes the Subaru identity to the hawk-eye headlights. The front face plays the role of starting point from which the front flows via the sides to the rear, with each part uniting into a solid form.

• SidesThe rich inflection of the character line extending from the front fender to the door panels and rear shoulder, and the line rising energetically toward the rear from the lower door panel, give dynamism to the solid body surface. The powerfully extended fender flares express the reliability of Subaru All-Wheel Drive.

• RearThe rear combination lights sharing the same motif as the headlights express a Wide & Low stance similar to the front. Its sleek silhouette from the tightened cabin toward the trunk lid enhances the sporty impression on the sedan style.
