Subaru WRX RS40, μία ειδική έκδοση μόνο για την Αυστραλία

Για να γιορτάσει τα 40 χρόνια παρουσίας στην Αυστραλία, η Subaru, πολύ διακριτικά παρουσίασε το Subaru WRX RS40, μία ειδική έκδοση, περιορισμένης παραγωγής που θα διατεθεί αποκλειστικά στο νησί.

Το RS40 είναι Subaru με τα όλα του όσον αφορά στην εμφάνιση. World Rally

blue χρώμα και 17άρες ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος σε χρυσαφί χρώμα. Οι αλλαγές είναι λίγες και περιορίζονται σε: spoiler της STI εμπρός και πίσω, μπάρα θόλων εμπρός και αρκετά RS40 σήματα.

Το εσωτερικό είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό ίδιο, με εξαίρεση την πλακέτα που φιλοξενεί τον αύξων αριθμό του αυτοκινήτου, έναν short-shifter λεβιέ ταχυτήτων και καθίσματα της Recaro με μπλε ενθέμματα από Alcantara. Κάτω από το καπό δεν έχει αλλάξει απολύτως τίποτα δε. Ο ίδιος υπερτροφοδοτούμενος boxer των 2,5 λίτρων που αποδίδει 265 άλογα και 343 Nm ροπής κινεί και αυτό το Impreza WRX όπως και όλα τα υπόλοιπα.

Η παραγωγή θα περιοριστεί στα 300 κομμάτια και η τιμή του καθενός από αυτά θα διαμορφώνεται στα 44.490 δολάρια Αυστραλίας.

WRX RS40 Makes It Sporty

In its 40th anniversary year and 20 years since the original turbocharged “pocket rocket” WRX went on sale in Japan, Subaru Australia has launched the last of its current generation WRX special editions, the RS40.

The All-Wheel Drive WRX RS40 adds more than $7000 of value-packed features that pay tribute to Subaru’s motorsport heritage.

WRX RS40 is available for pre-order now and will be in showrooms from the end of August.

They include the iconic combination of WR blue mica paint, gold-coloured 17-inch alloy wheels and a variety of Subaru Tecnica International (STI) components – a clear reminder of the brand’s local and international rallying success.

Subaru Managing Director, Nick Senior, said: “This feature-packed special edition makes a direct visual link to the original World Rally Blue WRXs that did so much to grow Subaru’s performance credentials globally.

“WR Blue remains a customer favourite colour in the WRX palette, so it’s entirely fitting that this last-in-line special edition of the current car carries the famous blue and gold combination.”

He added: “WRX has always been a winner for customers in the retained value stakes and the special editions in particular give it even more cache, so with only 300 of these available, we anticipate high demand.”

The WRX RS40 is only available in sedan and is strictly limited to 300 units, all in WR Blue Mica paint.
