H Audi ανακαλεί 14.535 νέα Q7

H Audi ανακοίνωσε ότι ανακαλεί στην Αμερική 14.535 αυτοκίνητα του καινούριου Q7, με ημερομηνίες παραγωγής από 20 Αυγούστου του 2015 μέχρι 8 Μαΐου του 2016.

Το πρόβλημα εντοπίζεται στο λογισμικού εντός της μονάδας ελέγχου του αερόσακου, που μπορεί να προκαλέσει τα συστήματα ασφαλείας για τα εμπρός καθίσματα να αναπτυχθούν με πολύ δύναμη σε ορισμένες συγκρούσεις, οι οποίες θα μπορούσαν να τραυματίσουν τους επιβάτες.

Η Audi

είναι ενήμερη για το πρόβλημα από τον περασμένο Μάρτιο, όταν μια αναφορά ενός ατυχήματος έδειξε ότι ο αερόσακος δεν άνοιξε σύμφωνα με το πρέπον σενάριο. Παρόλα αυτά, η γερμανική εταιρεία δεν είναι ενήμερη για τυχόν τραυματισμούς, ως αποτέλεσμα αυτού του προβλήματος.

Η εταιρία από το Ιngolstadt ξεκίνησε άμεσα έρευνα, και άρχισε να αναπτύσσει το ενημερωμένο λογισμικό από το Μάιο.

SUMMARY:Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2017 Audi Q7 vehicles manufactured August 30, 2015, to May 8, 2016. Due to a software issue within the air bag control module, the frontal air bags may deploy with more force than required in certain crashes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”

CONSEQUENCE:Air bags that deploy with excessive force may increase the risk of injury.

REMEDY:Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will update the air bag control module software, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen’s number for this recall is 69O3.
