Επιστολή ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ στους «Times» του Λονδίνου

Με επιστολή του προς την εφημερίδα «Times» του Λονδίνου, το ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ κάνει σαφές ότι ουδέποτε μετέδωσε είδηση για «κατάρρευση» της Ακρόπολης.

Το τηλεγράφημα του ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ αποτύπωνε τη συζήτηση μεταξύ των επιστημόνων κατά τη διάρκεια του Κεντρικού Αρχαιολογικού Συμβουλίου.

Ακολουθεί η επιστολή του ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ προς τους «Times»:

«I am writing in regard to your article on «The Times» entitled «Acropolis is crumbling, warn Greek engineers», published on October 2, citing the Athens News Agency (ANA-MPA).

ANA-MPA has never used the word «crumbling» nor did it imply it. So the title of the article is misleading as well as the paragraph «The Greek news agency ANA said engineers have discovered that part of the huge flat-topped rock on which the ancient Parthenon sits in the center of Athens is starting to give way».
