The clash of the protesters in Skopje, FYROM, at the evening of 2th of April gathered a large variety of protesters, gathered to express popular dissatisfaction against autocratic rule of VMRO-DPMNE's Nikola Gruevski. The protesters consisted of Slavs, Albanians and Turks, with many communists, liberals,
social-democrats as well as Slavic nationalists. Due to this variety of people and political ideas, the organizers promoted yesterday the term “Šarena revolucija” (“Polychromatic Revolution”), which symbolizes the plurality of ideologies that, nevertheless, work together to bring down decade-long authoritarian rule of Nikola Gruevski.

By pouring several paints in front of the governmental buildings, the rioters symbolically announced their motto. Due to the fact that in front of the Parliament of FYROM, a VMRO-led counter-demonstration staffed by people to which VMRO-DPMNE made some favor (employment etc) and which were brought to central Skopje from all towns of FYROM, the police took great care to disable any physical contact between both groups, the group of mostly young idealists on one hand and clerks and other members of the VMRO-DPMNE led administration, which were offered a free sandwich as well as can of soft drink (the freedom, individuality and liberty in FYROM costs a sandwich and a soft drink).

The activity (seen later in the video) of the Anti-Government protests consisted in paint-bombing of the fake “neoclassicist” facade (which the government presents as “Ancient Macedonian art”). More protests are scheduled, not only in Skopje, but also in smaller towns throughout FYROM, a phenomenon seen for the first time, since independence from Belgrade in 1991/1992
