Trade balance deficit shrinks 9.9 pct in June

The statistics service, in a report, said that the value of import-arrivals totalled 3.776 billion euros in June, down 9.2 pct from 5.190 billion euros in June last year (excluding oils, the value of imports fell 2.4 pct to 62.8 million euros).

The value of export-deliveries totalled 2.095 billion euros in June, down 8.7 pct from 2.295 billion euros in June 2012 (excluding oils, the value of exports dropped 11.4 pct).

The value of import-arrivals dropped 6.2 pct to 23.345 billion euros in the January-June period (excluding oils, the trade deficit fell by 6.4 pct).

The trade deficit fell 9.9 pct in the first six months of the year to 1.681 billion euros (excluding oils, the value rose by 109.6 million euros or 9.7 pct).
