Samaras to meet with Russia’s Putin on Tuesday

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at 5:00 pm (local time) on Tuesday in Brussels, government sources said on Monday.
The two leaders will discuss bilateral relations, with a focus on economic cooperation, as well as progress in relations between Moscow and the EU. Their last meeting was two years ago.
Samaras is in Brussels to participate in the conference “Industry Matters” organized by the European Trade Union Confederation, and attend a European Parliament event for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the afternoon. On Tuesday, he will address the Confederation meeting.
He will then return to Athens to address a Hellenic-Australian Business Council event at the Acropolis Museum on the development of trade relations between Greece and Australia.
