Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise

Equity prices were rising on Tuesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.14 percent, standing at 1,241.18 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 7.11 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.11 percent, and the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.26 percent.
Individual sector indices were moving upward, with the biggest gains in Telecoms, up 0.64 percent and in Travel and Recreation, up 0.26 percent.
The heaviest losses were in Health, down 1.81 percent; Public Utilities, down 1.29 percent and in Food and Beverages, down 1.08 percent.
Of the stocks traded, 25 were up, 36 were down, and 10 were unchanged.
