Όπως μας είχε ανακοινώσει η Hyundai παρουσίσασε σήμερα τη δεύτερη γενιά του i20, το οποίο θα παρουσιαστεί επίσημα στην έκθεση του Παρισιού στο τέλος του Σεπτεμβρίου.

Το αυτοκίνητο υιοθετεί τη Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 σχεδιαστική γλώσσα της, με το τελικό αποτέλεσμα να είναι ένα αρκετά συμπαθητικό compact μοντέλο, ομορφότερο από το προηγούμενο, με τους Κορέατες να θέλουν να του προδώσει μια premium αισθητική. Διαθέτει εξάγωνη μάσκα, μεγαλύτερα φωτιστικά σώματα, ενώ ιδιαίτερο σχεδιαστικό στοιχείο είναι η μαύρη πίσω κολόνα

που δίνει την εντύπωση ότι η οροφή αιωρείται.

Έχει μεγαλώσει σε διαστάσεις, με το μήκος του να φτάνει τα 4.035 χλστ., ενώ το μεταξόνιο είναι 45 χλστ. μακρύτερο, φτάνοντας τα 2.570 χλστ. Τα νούμερα αυτά προσφέροντας περισσότερο διαθέσιμο χώρο για τους πίσω επιβάτες, που φτάνει συνδυαστικά τα 1.892 χλστ., τον περισσότερο στην κατηγορία του. Τέλος, ο χώρος αποσκευών του χωράει 320 λίτρα, όντας αρκετά ικανοποιητικός.

Λεπτομέρειες για τα μηχανικά σύνολα της ευρωπαικής έκδοσης του μοντέλου δεν ανακοίνωσε η Hyundai, αλλά το ινδικών προδιαγραφών (το κόκκινο αυτοκίνητο) θα εξοπλίζεται με τον 1,2-λίτρων Kappa κινητήρα απόδοσης 83 ίππων, καθώς και με τον ετρακύλινδρο 1,4-λίτρων CRDi με τα 90 άλογα. Στην Ευρώπη πιθανότατα θα προστεθεί και ένας τρικύλινδρος 1.000 κ.ε, βενζίνης, καθώς επίσης και τρικύλινδρος 1,1-λίτρων πετρελαίου. Όλοι οι κινητήρες θα συνδυάζονται είτε με ένα 6-τάχυτο μηχανικό κιβώτιο είτε με ένα αυτόματο κιβώτιο, ενώ αργότερα μέσα στο 2015 θα υπάρξει και γρήγορη N performance έκδοση.

Φωτογραφίες από το εσωτερικό δεν θα έδειξε, αλλά ξέρουμε ότι το νέο i20 θα διαθέτει ένα καινούριο πολυλειτουργικό τιμόνι, αεραγωγούς κλιματισμού για τους πίσω επιβάτες, κεντρικό υποβραχιώνιο με αποθηκευτικό χώρο, κάθσιμα οδηγού ρυθμιζόμενο σε ύψος, Supervision πίνακα οργάνων, θύρες, USB και AUX, συνδεσιμότητα με Bluetooth, start/stop κουμπί, ανακλινόμενους εξωτερικούς καθρέφτες κλπ. Στις πλούσιες εκδόσεις θα υπάρχουν LED πίσω φώτα, κάμερα οπισθοπορείας, και πανοραμική ανοιγόμενη οροφή.
