Δημοπρατείται το τελευταίο… Των Εvo

H Mitsubishi Βόρειας Αμερικής θα διαθέσει για δημοπρασία στο eBay, μεταξύ 8 και 15 Σεπτεμβρίου το τελευταίο μοντέλο παραγωγής Lancer Evolution Final Edition, με τα έσοδα από την πώληση του αυτοκινήτου να διατίθενται για φιλανθρωπικούς σκοπούς.

Πρόκειται για το τελευταίο από τα 1600 Final Edition που κατασκευάστηκαν και θα σημάνει το τέλος μιας τεράστιας ιστορίας που έχει γραφτεί από την σειρά

Evolution, από το 1992 μέχρι και σήμερα. Το αυτοκίνητο που δημοπρατείται θα είναι σε λευκό, New Diamond White Pearl όπως το ονομάζει η εταιρία, με μαύρη αλουμινένια οροφή και μαύρες λεπτομέρειες στο καπό και στον εμπρός προφυλακτήρα. Η γρίλια επίσης του εμπρός προφυλακτήρα θα είναι σε σκούρη απόχρωση αντίστοιχη με αυτή των ζαντών. Στο εσωτερικό επίσης θα υπάρχει πλακέτα με τον αριθμό 1600 και κόκκινες ραφές στη ταπετσαρία.

Η έκδοση Final Edition αποδίδει 303 ίππους και 41,3 κιλά ροπής από τον 2λιτρο τετρακύλινδρο κινητήρα και εφοδιάζεται με χειροκίνητο κιβώτιο πέντε σχέσεων. Η ανάρτηση είναι ελαφρώς βελτιωμένη, με αμορτισέρ της Bilstein και ελατήρια Eibach.

Προς το παρών δεν υπάρχουν ενδείξεις για μελλοντικά σχέδια κατασκευής νέου Lancer Evolution. Το 2015 ο επικεφαλής της Mitsubishi, Osamu Masuko έκανε λόγο για επιστροφή του ονόματος Evolution, αλλά που κατά πάσα πιθανότητα θα είναι ένα υβριδικό σπορ crossover.

Mitsubishi will be auctioning the last Lancer Evolution Final Edition…the US1600 car. To make things even better, all proceeds from the auction will go to Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

The auction will take place on eBay beginning at 9 a.m. PT Thursday, September 8 and concludes Thursday, September 15 at 9:00 a.m. PT. The auction corresponds with national Hunger Action Month™, when Feeding America and member food banks ask everyone in America to take action and fight hunger in their community, all September long.

The beloved and highly revered Mitsubishi Evo is going out in style with the Final Edition model, which features a pulse-pounding turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder 2.0L engine with 303 horsepower, making the Final Edition the most powerful mass-produced Evolution ever built. The car is available with a 5-speed transmission and special suspension tuning.
