ESM's Strauch to 'N': 'Clean exit', with asterisks; debt relief, only if needed

Countries exiting a bailout program are vulnerable to external events, and Greece should protect itself by sending a clear message that it will continue with agreed-to reforms, European Stability Mechanism (ESM) chief economist Rolf Strauch told "N" this week. At the same time, he referred to a "clean exit", with asterisks, ones that refer to an "enhanced surveillance" and post-program agreements that possibly differ from the ones extended to other bailed out Eurozone members.
