Οι τοιχογραφίες του Fintan Magee είναι κάτι παραπάνω από street art

Ο Αυστραλός Fintan Magee ταξιδεύει σε όλο τον κόσμο αφήνοντας πίσω του γιγαντιαίες τοιχογραφίες, επιλέγοντας συχνά «τυφλές» όψεις κτιρίων σε διάφορες πόλεις του κόσμου, απεικονίζοντας ιδιωτικές και τρυφερές στιγμές, που εκφράζουν τις κοινωνικές και περιβαλλοντικές του ανησυχίες.

Ο φημισμένος διεθνώς καλλιτέχνης δρόμου θέλει να ενισχύσει τη συνείδησή μας όσον αφορά καυτά κοινωνικά προβλήματα του σήμερα, όπως η αλλαγή του κλίματος και το μεταναστευτικό και το προσφυγικό.

Οι φιγούρες του μοιάζουν να αγνοούν τον περαστικό, καθώς είναι απορροφημένες σε αυτό που κάνουν ή κοιτούν στο βάθος

στον ορίζοντα. Ένα παιδάκι με μαγιό κουβαλά στο σακίδιο στην πλάτη του ένα παγόβουνο, τα χέρια ενός νεαρού που θρηνεί «θρυμματίζονται» σε pixel γεωμετρικών σχεδίων.

Παρότι οι φιγούρες είναι ανώνυμες, ο χρωστήρας και η τέχνη του Fintan Magee τους δίνει προσωπικότητα και ιδιαιτερότητα.

Έδρα του Fintan Magee είναι το Μπρισμπέιν της Αυστραλίας, όπου σπούδασε Καλές Τέχνες στο Griffith University. Προσφάτως ο Fintan Magee, ολοκλήρωσε τοιχογραφίες στο event «Out in the Open» της γκαλερί Kirk Gallery στη Δανία, αλλά και στο Φεστιβάλ Τοιχογραφιών του Βανκούβερ, στον Καναδά.
