Αδημοσίευτες φωτογραφίες της Πάτι Σμιθ

«Η Λιν Γκόλντσμιθ δημιούργησε μια ατμόσφαιρα στην οποία μπορούσα να είμαι ο εαυτός μου, να εκφράσω τις δυνατότητές μου», δηλώνει η Πάτι Σμιθ για την θρυλική φωτογράφο της ροκ.

Οι φωτογραφίες, που για πρώτη φορά βλέπουν το φως της δημοσιότητας, καλύπτουν την περίοδο από τα μέσα έως τα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1970.

Καταγράφουν τη διαδρομή της Πάτι Σμιθ μετά

την κυκλοφορία του «Horses» το 1975, του «Radio Ethiopia» του 1976 έως την εκτόξευσή της στη στρατόσφαιρα της φήμης με το «Easter» του 1978, στο οποίο περιλαμβάνεται και το «Because the Night» που έγραψε η Σμιθ μαζί με τον Μπρους Σπρίνγκστιν.

Φωτογραφία της Λιν Γκόλντσμιθ κόσμησε, εξάλλου, το εξώφυλλο του «Easter» της Πάτι Σμιθ.

Tomorrow @thisispattismith and I will have a #nyc launch for #beforeeasterafter limited edition @taschen book @themorganlibrary …one of my favorite places because there books are honored. Afterall, a book can be where one finds oneself. When grasped and held it can feel like a crucial dimension of life itself.
