Of the troika’s representatives from the European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund, IMF’s Poul Thomsen was not present at the meeting.

The government’s regulations relate to people who are up to date on payments, not to borrowers in default.

Other issues discussed were the liberalisation of restricted professions and the absorption of EU regional development funds. It was unclear whether the issue of whether a ban on auctions of foreclosed homeswill be lifted or not was discussed. According to sources, the issue, which has stirred controversy among parties, is among those pending in talks with the troika.
