SYRIZA leader calls for inspections in non-performing loans

“The Hellenic Postbank (TT) scandal revealed once again the sinner triangle of ‘banks-ruling parties-business publishing interests’ and the fact that this corrupted triangle played a key role in the country’s path to bankruptcy,” Tsipras said in a question tabled ex-agenda in parliament. The urgent question, which requires a response within a short time, was addressed to Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
Tsipras also called on Samaras to comfirm whether the government intends to re-privatise banks, which is a real-sellout he said, as of the 40 billion euros absorbed by systemic banks only 15-18 billion euros will return, and he also wondered who will take political and the possible criminal liability for the loss.
