People, Not Products, Make Greece's Best Tech Workplaces, Survey Finds

Colleagues matter far more than cutting-edge technology to employees at Greece's top-rated tech companies, according to an annual ranking released this week.

Nearly a third of comments from staff at the 25 companies on Great Place To Work Hellas' 2026 Best Workplaces in Tech list cited people

and colleagues as what makes their jobs special. Only 8% mentioned the technology or product they work on.

Online trading platform XM topped the ranking for large companies with more than 250 employees, followed by Agile Actors, Navarino, Allwyn Lottery Solutions and Kaizen Gaming.

Cybersecurity training firm Hack The Box led the mid-size category of 50 to 250 employees, ahead of OTS, Digital Realty and Semantic.

Among smaller firms with 20 to 49 staff, SCYTALES ranked first, followed by Lenovo Technology BV and Cyberlogic.

The ranking, now in its fourth year, is based on anonymous surveys of 3,635 employees and nearly 2,000 written comments.

Workers' top request was clearer processes and roles, while flexibility remained a main reason they stay.

"The most important investment remains the same: people," said Giorgos Mavros, chief executive of Great Place To Work Hellas. Mr. Mavros said the companies on the list prove that "the future of technology is above all human."

The findings come as Greece's tech sector competes for skilled workers, many of whom left the country during its decade-long financial crisis.

The government has offered tax breaks to lure them back, while foreign tech firms have expanded operations in the country.
