Heatwave continues; Temperature drop expected starting Tuesday

Very high temperatures, with local highs exceeding 40 °C are expected to persist across Greece until Monday.

According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service, temperatures will gradually decrease starting Tuesday, affecting both maximum and minimum values.

In most areas of Greece, this cooling trend will become noticeable by the middle of next week.

Saturday: Temperatures will remain high, reaching up to 40°C in some

areas. Specifically:

Northern inland areas: 37–39 °C.

Other inland areas: 40°C, locally up to 41°C in the west.

Ionian Islands, Eastern Aegean Islands, and Dodecanese: 37–40 °C.

Other islands: 34–36 °C.

Attica: 39°C.
