Austrian Family Rescued After Boat Capsizes in Northern Greece

A family of four Austrian tourists was rescued after their boat capsized in the sea south of Amouliani island in northern Greece, the Hellenic Coast Guard has said.

The rescued family included a couple, ages 70 and 66, and their two adult children, ages 27 and 28. According to reports, the parents were found clinging to the overturned boat while their chil

dren were swimming in the water nearby.

A rescue operation involving two Coast Guard patrol boats and an Air Force helicopter was launched to retrieve the family.

All four were brought safely to the port of Ouranoupoli. An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
