Η PSA Peugeot Citroen ανακοίνωσε πως το DS3 αποκτά πλέον το νέο 6-τάχυτο αυτόματο κιβώτιο της. Το ΕΑΤ6 μπορεί να συνδυαστεί με τον τρικύλινδρο PureTech110 βενζινοκινητήρα, επιτρέποντας του να έχει μέση κατανάλωση καυσίμου 4,7 λίτρα/100 χλμ (4,9 λίτρα/100 χλμ

η Cabrio έκδοση), με τις εκπομπές CO2 να ανέρχονται σε 108 γρ/χλμ και 112 γρ/χλμ, αντιστοίχως. Το κιβώτιο θα είναι διαθέσιμο για παραγγελία από τον Ιούνιο.

DS 3 PURETECH 110 S&S EAT6: A NEW SIX-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, FOR EVEN GREATER PERFORMANCE AND EFFICACY

For DS, the premium brand launched by the PSA group a few months back, sales success and vehicle appeal go hand in hand with continuous improvement. The DS 3, for example, is regularly upgraded to offer new technological innovations and customization features. Following on from the LED Vision headlamps that came in September 2014, and the THP 165 S&S engine with six-speed manual gearbox in November 2014, the DS 3 is now getting a six-speed automatic transmission. The EAT6 transmission is coupled with a three-cylinder PureTech110 turbocharged engine, which gives high torque from low engine revs. This ideal combination accommodates the smoothest or the briskest driving styles, at the driver’s wish. Gear shifts are faster and smoother, bringing enhanced driveability, response and acceleration. And the efficiency figures speak for themselves: combined-cycle fuel consumption is 4.7 litres per 100 km for the hatchback and 4.9 litres for the Cabrio version, for CO2 emissions of 108 g/km (hatchback), down by 42 g/km (28% less than with the VTi 120 automatic version) or 112 g/km (Cabrio).

The market share of automatic-transmission versions in the B2 premium segment had risen by five percentage points in some countries by early 2015, so release of this new DS 3 version looks to be a promising milestone in the DS 3
