Έκθεση Γενεύης 2014: Lexus RC 350 F Sport και RC F GT3 Concept

H Lexus στην έκθεση της Γενεύης παρουσίασε τα RC 350 F Sport και RC F GT3 Concept, όσο και το CT 200h Facelift. Το RC 350 F Sport τοποθετείται ανάμεσα στο απλό RC 350 και το RC F. Χάρη στις λίγες και διακριτικές, αλλά αισθητές αλλαγές, καταφέρνει να διαφοροποιείται από την απλή έκδοση αλλά να μην είναι τόσο ακραίο όσο η κορυφαία F.

Κάτω από το καπό, βρίσκεται ένας 24-βάλβιδος V6, με χωρητικότητα

3.5 λίτρα που αποδίδει 306 ίππους στις 6.400 σ.α.λ. και 375 Nm ροπής στις 4.800 σ.α.λ. Ο κινητήρας συνδυάζεται με ένα αυτόματο, 8-τάχυτο κιβώτιο που στέλνει την ισχύ στους πίσω τροχούς.

Εκτός από το εξωτερικό με την διαφορετική μάσκα και τις 19άρες ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος και το εσωτερικό με το δερμάτινο σαλόνι σε χρώμα Rioja Red που είναι αποκλειστικό για την αυτή την έκδοση, το RC 350 F Sport είναι εξοπλισμένο με την Adaptive Variable Suspension της εταιρίας μαζί με το Lexus Dynamic Handling.

Εκτός όμως το από το RC 350 F Sport, η Lexus μας είχε προειδοποιήσει και για την παρουσίαση του RC F GT3 concept.

Πρόκειται προφανώς, για ένα πρωτότυπο της αγωνιστικής έκδοση του RC Coupe. Για την κίνηση του ομολογουμένως εντυπωσιακού αγωνιστικού, φροντίζει μία ελαφρώς τροποποιημένη έκδοση του V8 που κινεί και το RC F που στην προκειμένη περίπτωση αποδίδει 540 ίππους (έναντι των 455 του RC F). Το όχημα έχει μήκος 4.7 μέτρα, πλάτος 2,0 μέτρα και ύψος 1.27 μέτρα με μεταξόνιο που φτάνει τα 2.73 μέτρα ενώ ζυγίζει 1.249 κιλά.

Το RC F GT3 θα ξεκινήσει δοκιμές τους μήνες που μας έρχονται ενώ το αγωνιστικό ντεμπούτο του, θα γίνει τον επόμενο χρόνο. Εκτός από το Super GT Series της Ιαπωνίας, το αυτοκίνητο θα τρέξει σε διάφορους αγώνες αντοχής σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο, μεταξύ των οποίων και οι 24 ώρες του Nurburgring.

Σε ότι αφορά την ανανεωμένη CT 200h. Το αυτοκίνητο θα επανατοποθετηθεί ώστε να αποτελεί αντίπαλο για το Audi A3, την BMW 1-Series και την Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

Το Lexus CT200h facelift έχει αποκτήσει τη νέα εταιρική γρίλια, νέο προφυλακτήρα, νέους προβολείς ομίχλης, επανασχεδιασμένα φωτιστικά σώματα, νέο πίσω προφυλακτήρα και νέες ζάντες. Κίνηση θα του δίνει ο 1.800αρης βενζινοκινητήρας ο οποίος σε συνδυασμό με έναν ηλεκτροκινητήρα θα αποδίδουν συνολικά 136 ίππων, επιτρέποντας στο αυτοκίνητο να κάνει τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα σε περίπου 10 δευτερόλεπτα, με την τελική του ταχύτητα να αγγίζει τα 180 χλμ/ώρα. Οι φήμες μάλιστα κάνουν λόγο πως ετοιμάζεται και μια γρηγορότερη έκδοσή του.

GENEVA – Feb. 28, 2014 – And F SPORT makes three. Driving enthusiasts, get ready for more Lexus RC options from which to choose. When the all-new model launches in the U.S. this fall the 2015 Lexus RC 350 F SPORT will join the recently introduced RC 350 sport coupe and RC F performance model.The RC 350 F SPORT will make its world debut at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show.The RC is a stand-alone model rather than a two-door derivative of a sedan although it is built on the GS sedan platform. It has the same width as GS and a shorter wheelbase than the IS sedan to help achieve spirited handling and agility.The RC 350 F SPORT, based on the RC 350, will feature exclusive design elements and enhanced driving performance.

The F SPORT’s dynamic upgrades include Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and the available Lexus Dynamic Handling (LDH) system. These features provide drivers with an even more rewarding and engaging driving experience.

DesignReadily identified by a model-specific “F” mesh design, the RC 350 F SPORT features a further evolution of the Lexus spindle grille.

The unique 19-inch F SPORT mesh alloy wheels feature machine-finish and dark metallic paint.

The RC 350 F SPORT also inherits a descendant of the innovative LFA driver’s meter with a moving center ring, and an F SPORT perforated leather steering wheel and shift knob. The interior design is completed by Silver Performance trim, an F SPORT-exclusive Rioja Red interior and seats with unique contrast stitching.

Driving DynamicsAdaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) is part of the F SPORT package. In response to driving operation, vehicle body motion and road surface conditions, AVS automatically and independently adjusts the performance of the damping at all four wheels. When the vehicle’s SPORT+ drive mode is selected, AVS changes to allow the driver to feel improved body control and precise responses to steering input.

The suspension enhancements of the RC 350 F SPORT are complimented by the available four-wheel steering benefits of the Lexus Dynamic Handling (LDH) system. This leading edge platform technology offers the integration of Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS) and Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS).

Monitoring vehicle speed, steering direction and driver inputs, the system calculates the optimum angle for all four wheels. Using VGRS in the front and DRS in the rear, the system can independently manage both front and rear wheel steering angles to help improve turn-in response, rear grip, vehicle control and overall agility when cornering.

The LDH system monitors vehicle speed and yaw rate, steering angle and speed, and lateral G to calculate the required rear wheel steering input up to a maximum rear wheel angle of 2.0 degrees. The front and rear wheels turn in opposite directions at lower speeds, and in the same direction at higher speeds.

Lexus will introduce the RC 350 F SPORT at a press conference on March 4, at 8:45 a.m. Central European Time at Palexpo’s hall 4, stand number 4211.
