Η Josephine Bergqvist και η Livia Schück, ιδρύτριες του σουηδικού brand, Rave Review χαρακτηρίζουν τον αγώνα της για αλλαγή έμπνευση για να διαδώσουν το μήνυμά της και να καλέσουν σε δράση

Για τη συλλογή Άνοιξη 2020, το brand Rave Review ήθελε να δημιουργήσει και να προωθήσει έναν νέο τρόπο κατασκευής ρούχων.

«Η μόδα δεν πρέπει να βλάπτει τον πλανήτη μας» αναφέρουν οι σχεδιάστριες στο σημείωμά τους για τη συλλογή.

Τονίζουν ακόμη ότι αξιοποιούν τις έννοιες του ρομαντισμού του παρελθόντος, αλλά και της σκληρής πραγματικότητας της κλιματικής αλλαγής σήμερα.

Σε αντίθεση με την τάση της υπερπαραγωγής και της μαζικής κατανάλωσης του συστήματος της μόδας, για τη συλλογή χρησιμοποιήθηκαν μόνο προϋπάρχοντα υλικά και αντισυμβατικά υφάσματα, όπως επαναχρησιμοποιούμενες vintage κουβέρτες, αποχρωματισμένα σεντόνια, λευκά τραπεζομάντιλα.

Επίσης χρησιμοποιήθηκαν υφάσματα από αποθέματα εκτός αγοράς και μεταχειρισμένα ντένιμ για να δημιουργηθούν ελαφριά καλοκαιρινά φορέματα με λεπτομέρειες με κόμπους, μπλούζες από τζιν ύφασμα και καμπαρντίνες με σχέδια.

Το brand Rave Review ιδρύθηκε το 2017. Έναν χρόνο αργότερα έλαβε βραβείο από το Σουηδικό Συμβούλιο Μόδας και τον επόμενο χρόνο, το 2019 έλαβε το Βραβείο Νεοεμφανιζόμενου Σχεδιαστή των H&M και Elle.

Ας ελπίσουμε ότι η βιωσιμότητα στη μόδα θα οδηγήσει σε δράσεις και δεν θα παραμείνει απλά μια τάση – η βιομηχανία χρειάζεται μια επανάσταση, εκτιμούν οι Josephine Bergqvist και Livia Schück.
