Μια εντυπωσιακή βιβλιοθήκη «σκουληκότρυπα»

Μια βιβλιοθήκη που προτίθεται «να είναι μια σκουληκότρυπα η οποία υπερβαίνει τον χρόνο και τον χώρο», με θέα τη Θάλασσα της Νότιας Κίνας, σχεδίασε το με έδρα το Πεκίνο αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο MAD.

H «Βιβλιοθήκη-Σκουληκότρυπα» όπως αναφέρει το ΑΠΕ είναι υπό κατασκευή εντός του πάρκου Century Park της πόλης Χαϊκού στη νήσο Χαϊνάν και εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο της αναμόρφωσης του Κόλπου της Χαϊκού.

Το καμπυλωτό από σκυρόδεμα οικοδόμημα θα στεγάζει μια βιβλιοθήκη και εγκαταστάσεις για τους επισκέπτες του πάρκου.

Η βιβλιοθήκη θα χτιστεί γύρω από διώροφο αναγνωστήριο με χώρο για 10.000 βιβλία.

Στο ισόγειο, καφέ, αίθουσα υποδοχής και αίθουσα VIP.

Το σε σχήμα τούνελ αναγνωστήριο για παιδιά καθώς και ένας χώρος για ανάγνωση με θέα στη θάλασσα θα βρίσκονται στον όροφο από πάνω.

Τρύπες που θα ανοιχτούν στις οροφές θα επιτρέπουν την είσοδο φυσικού φωτός.

Στην οροφή, βεράντα με θέα στη Θάλασσα της Νότιας Κίνας. Δεξιά και αριστερά του κτιρίου, μια ρηχή μεγάλου μεγέθους δεξαμενή και μια περιοχή με άσπρη άμμο.

Η βιβλιοθήκη είναι το πρώτο από τα επτά κτίσματα που θα οικοδομηθούν στην ακτή του Κόλπου της Χαϊκού.

Το αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο MAD ιδρύθηκε το 2004 από τον Μα Γιανσόνγκ.
