Ανοιχτό κάλεσμα για τη δημιουργία έργων τέχνης και συμβόλων που μεταφέρουν μηνύματα δημόσιας υγείας και ασφάλειας απευθύνει το Amplifier Art Lab με έδρα το Σιάτλ των ΗΠΑ.

Στην καμπάνια – απάντηση στην κρίση του κοροναϊού συμμετέχουν επιμελητές τέχνης και σύμβουλοι δημόσιας υγείας.

Healthcare professionals, the elderly, and the sick need masks most, but it is also effective in protecting the general public. It is one of the many ways countries like South Korea have flattened the curve. Remember, asymptomatic carriers can spread the virus. If you are unable to buy a mask, simply make one yourself. Anything is better than nothing. Protect others by protecting yourself.”

Όπως αναφέρει το ΑΠΕ αναζητούνται δύο είδη έργων: Τα πρώτα είναι μηνύματα δημόσιας υγείας και ασφάλειας που μπορούν να βοηθήσουν στην επιπέδωση της καμπύλης της πανδημίας μέσω της εκπαίδευσης.

Το δεύτερο είναι σύμβολα που συμβάλλουν στην προώθηση της ψυχικής υγείας, της ευημερίας και έργο κοινωνικής αλλαγής κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της πιεστικής περιόδου, διευκρινίζουν οι διοργανωτές.

Για την καμπάνια συνεργάζονται, μεταξύ άλλων, η Νάνσι Σπέκτορ επιμελήτρια του Μουσείου Γκούγκενχαϊμ, καλλιτέχνες, όπως οι Σέπαρντ Φέρι και ο μουσικός Juanes και εκπρόσωποι του συστήματος υγείας των ΗΠΑ και διεθνών οργανισμών.

Στο πλαίσιο της διεθνούς πρωτοβουλίας, το Amplifier θα βραβεύσει 60 καλλιτέχνες, οι οποίοι θα παραλάβουν και το χρηματικό ποσό 1.000 δολαρίων ο καθένας.

Κάθε εβδομάδα θα επιλέγονται έργα, τα οποία θα παρουσιάζονται τόσο σε φυσικούς χώρους, όσο και online και θα είναι διαθέσιμα δωρεάν για λήψη, εκτύπωση και κοινοποίηση.

«Η τέχνη μπορεί να θεραπεύσει, η τέχνη μπορεί να σώσει ζωές, μπορεί να μας φέρει κοντά ακόμα και όταν είμαστε χωριστά. Μπορεί να είναι μια πυξίδα για να μας καθοδηγήσει σε αυτήν την καταιγίδα. Αυτή είναι η ευκαιρία σας να δημιουργήσετε ένα έργο που θα προβληθεί παγκοσμίως και θα μας εμπνεύσει όλους να παραμείνουμε ισχυροί, ασφαλείς και ενωμένοι» υπογραμμίζουν οι διοργανωτές της καμπάνιας.
