Διάσημοι σεφ μαγειρεύουν για τους πυροσβέστες της Καλιφόρνιας

Οι πυροσβέστες που δίνουν μάχη για την κατάσβεση της τεράστιας πυρκαγιάς «Κινκέιντ» που κατακαίει την κομητεία Σονόμα στην Καλιφόρνια των ΗΠΑ έχουν μαζί τους πολλούς συμπαραστάτες.

Ο σεφ των διάσημων Γκάι Φιέρι και συνάδελφοί του, ο Τάιλερ Φλόρενς και ο Κρις Κοζεντίνο μαζί με εκατοντάδες άλλους εθελοντές, της οργάνωσης World Central Kitchen συνεργάστηκαν για

να προμηθεύσουν με φαγητό, τους πυροσβέστες που έσπευσαν στην περιοχή όπου συνεχίζουν να μαίνονται οι καταστροφικές δασικές πυρκαγιές, όπως ανακοίνωσε μέσω Twitter ο κυβερνήτης της Καλιφόρνια, Γκάβιν Νιούσομ.

‪Last night, WCK's Relief Team headed up to Cloverdale Airport to serve a @calfire Helitack crew of 150 men and women. On the menu: Pulled pork, black-eyed peas, and collard greens over dirty rice along with a bagged meal of hot chili, fruit, and ham & cheese sandwiches to go! ‬#ChefsForCalifornia

Spent the day helping to prep over 7000 meals for evacuees and firefighters around Sonoma County. @wckitchen along with @tylerflorence, @chefchriscosentino, and many other volunteer chefs including our awesome neighbor @mauichef are doing exceptional work to keep people fed with truly delicious dishes on the fly. Chris and I met volunteers today from Davis, San Francisco, and Truckee, all here just to help. . . We assembled meals, chopped produce in the kitchen, called shelters for their most accurate counts, mopped floors, and washed more dishes than we ever have in our lives. We're washing 100+ kitchen towels at home right now to drop back by the kitchen in the morning and took over a cooler full of Lagunitas for the chefs staying over at the Fairgrounds. . . We're fortunate to be in the position to help. Please consider giving to @wckitchen. For someone who has been displaced, a hot meal can be a truly transformative part of their day.
