Σύμφωνα με τους επιστήμονες, 1 στις 8 γυναίκες, θα προσβληθεί από καρκίνο του μαστού στη ζωή της.Στην Ελλάδα κάθε χρόνο νοσούν 4.500 γυναίκες, ενώ περίπου 1.500 γυναίκες πεθαίνουν ετησίως.

Δώδεκα γυναίκες που υπεβλήθησαν σε μαστεκτομή και κατάφεραν να αντιμετωπίζουν τη νόσο, ποζάρουν στον φωτογραφικό φακό της Sophy Holland για το περιοδικό Inked και δείχνουν τα τατουάζ στο στήθος τους.

Το

κορμί τους έγινε καμβάς για να μεταδοθεί το μήνυμα της ελπίδας και της δύναμης.

A year ago today I shot one of the most important shoots of my career. These women are warriors in every sense of the word. They came from all around North America with very little in common except their battle against breast cancer and their tattoos. I was humbled and in awe of their strength and beauty.
