Αριστουργήματα της τέχνης «πίσω» από τη σύγχρονη μόδα (εικόνες)

Η μόδα και η τέχνη είναι στενά δεμένες. Ο σχεδιασμός ενδυμάτων συχνά «δανείζεται» στοιχεία από παλαιά και σύγχρονη τέχνη: χρώματα, σχέδια και σύμβολα σε έργα τέχνης από την περίοδο της Αναγέννησης έως τη σύγχρονη γλυπτική. Και ένας λογαριασμός στον Instagram, ο «Art History Fashion», υπογραμμίζει αυτές τις συνδέσεις, παρουσιάζοντας δίπλα – δίπλα μοντέρνες κρεασιόν και τις – συνειδητές ή λιγότερο συνειδητές – πηγές έμπνευσής τους.

Στην περίπτωση του πίνακα του

Το ίδιο παρατηρείται στη σχέση του πίνακα του Σάντρο Μποτιτσέλι «Η γέννηση της Αφροδίτης» (ύστερη Αναγέννηση) με το styling της Lily Cole για την καμπάνια του οίκου De Beers (2005).

Και ακόμη μία φορά, σαφέστατη είναι η σχέση μεταξύ του πίνακα «The Corn Poppy» του Ολλανδο-γάλλου ζωγράφου Kees van Dongen (1919) και της φωτογραφίας μιας δημιουργίας του – γερμανικής καταγωγής αλλά εγκατεστημένου στο Λονδίνο – πασίγνωστου πιλοποιού Otto Lucas (τη φωτογραφία τράβηξε ο Norman Parkinson, το 1959, για το βρετανικό «Vogue»).

Σε εκνευριστικό βαθμό πανομοιότυπες είναι η Βυζαντινή αυτοκράτειρα Θεοδώρα σε ψηφιδωτό στη Βασιλική του Σαν Βιτάλε (Ραβένα, 547) και μια κρεασιόν που «βάδισε στην πασαρέλα» στο σόου Ready to Wear, Φθινόπωρο 2013 του οίκου Dolce & Gabbana.

Αντιθέτως, ο πίνακας του Charles Robert Leslie «Η βασίλισσα Βικτωρία με την ενδυμασία ενθρόνισης της» (1838) είναι φανερό πως είναι απλά και μόνο πηγή έμπνευσης για την αμφίεση Guo Pei της Ριάνα στο Met Gala του 2015.

Οι συνδέσεις και οι παραλληλισμοί είναι πάμπολλοι.
