Μέρη της βορείου Αμερικής είχαν το περασμένο Σαββατοκύριακο την ευκαιρία να σβήσουν τα φώτα και να αφήσουν τον ουρανό να φωτίσει τις νύχτες τους με τα χρώματα του Βόρειου Σέλαος. Το φαινόμενο προκλήθηκε την περασμένη Παρασκευή έπειτα από γεωμανγνωτική καταιγίδα στην περιοχή, σύμφωνα με το National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Space Weather Prediction Center.

7,270km in and at 11:28pm last night just south of Gaspé, Quebec I was greeted with this. The only way I can describe northern lights is this: at some points they look like lights being shown into the air like a batman symbol and other times they're colourful dancing curtains.
