PM Samaras on two-day official visit to Finland

On Friday, Samaras will address the economic forum “From reform to growth: A road guide for Europe”, organised by the European Centre of European Studies of the European Peoples Party.

Samaras will talk about Greece’s experience and the need to enrich the fiscal programme with growth policies in order for Greece and Europe to exit from the crisis. He will also underline the need to be especially mindful of the problem of unemployment which threatens the social cohesion of EU country-members, particularly those of the north, where it has skyrocketed.

The forum is indicative of the general concern prevailing in the EPP and in the European Union regarding the limits of the fiscal stability and of the turn towards growth.

Katainen, Irish prime Minister Enda Kenny and Latvian prime minister Valdis Dombrovskis will also participate in the forum.
