2,500 children form a “human chain” around the Acropolis against racism

With a message reading «We embrace the Acropolis, we embrace Democracy, we embrace humanity» 2,500 children formed a «human chain» around the Acropolis at the initiative of the General Secretariat of Transparency and Human Rights, on the occasion of the World Day Against Racism.

Children of all nationalities, including some with disabilities, sent the message of peaceful and creative coexistence of people, without any discrimination.

Greek President Karolos Papoulias, Justice Minister Charalambos Athanassiou, Education Minister Constantinos Arvanitopoulos, Culture Minister Panos Panoyiotopoulos and general secretary of Transparency and Human Rights George Sourlas attended the event.
