SENIOR POSITIONSPHP Developer, Rotterdam
On behalf of our client in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, we are looking for an experienced PHP Developer.

Typical Output & Tasks:- Collaborate with the development team according Agile-Scrum principles.- Develop PHP code using the CakePHP MVC framework.- Ensure that interactive techniques and technologies translate through to world class products and services.- Keep clear documentation of processes and communicate task progress.- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to test functional product features.- Mentor the members of the Development Team.- Follow industry trends with regard to web-application technologies and techniques.

The Candidate's Profile:- + 5yrs experience with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP and Zend- Basic understanding of AJAX, XML and JSON frameworks- Experience with MySQL and LAMP is required- Experience with Agile Development- Experience with Ror, Python or Perl is required- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS and cross-browser compatibility.- Understanding of JavaScript techniques- Knowlegde of Hadoop, NoSQL ,Memcache, Lucence, Solr.- Proficiency in source code management practices

Other skills & experience: - Overall theoretical knowledge.- Think minimal and out-of- the box.- Ability to work in high-performance, high-volume web environments.- Experience working in a high-effort, fast-paced, dynamic work environment.- Excellent written and oral communication skills .- Start-up mentality, and ideally experience.- Passionate about Software Development.

Typical Output & Tasks:- Understand the concepts and requirements of the hosted applications- Design, develop and maintain complex virtualized hosting environments- Develop new technologies- Follow industry trends with regard to web-applications and the group and meeting industry- Support the users of our current hosting platform.- Education, skills & experience

The Candidate's Profile:- Bachelor's degree or higher- Excellent knowledge of Linux servers (KVM, Debian based)- Excellent knowledge of securing and maintaining complex server environments- Good programming and scripting skills (bash, python, php)- Experience with Ror, Pyhton or Perl- Good knowledge of high available clustering (haproxy, nginx, varnish)- Good knowledge of distributed storage systems- Good knowledge of using Linux on a desktop- Think minimal and out-of- the box- Ability to work in high-performance, high-volume web environments- Excellent written and oral communication skills .
