The School of Economics and Finance at QMUL (http://www.econ.qmul.ac.uk/) welcomes expressions of interest by postdoctoral researchers of any nationality, to apply jointly with a QMUL host supervisor to the EC Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual European Fellowship Scheme under the 2018 call.

The Fellowship is a prestigious European

funding scheme that supports mobility, career development, and training within and beyond Europe, and offers 12 to 24 months’ highly competitive salary, a mobility allowance, family allowance and research funds.

Full details of the Scheme and application process can be found at: EC Participant Portal for call information, guide for applicants and submissions

The call opened on 12 April 2018, and the final deadline date for applications is 12 September 2018.

How the Fellowship Works
A postdoctoral researcher (fellow) with a minimum of PhD level experience moves to an institution in another country (host), where he or she works with a supervisor to deliver a specific project involving research, innovation, training and networking activities. Both parties must collaborate on the application and the supervisor should offer appropriate supervision and support. Regular meetings between the supervisor and the researcher are essential for the planning and implementation of the research and innovation plan.
Proposals should be built around a plan for training-through-research at the host organisation (Career Development Plan). In addition to research activities and objectives, this should address the researcher's training and career needs, including training on transferable skills, planning for publications and participation in conferences.
