Samsung Galaxy Fold: Μαζικό πρόβλημα στην οθόνη των review units

Εδώ και μερικές ημέρες η Samsung Αμερικής έχει στείλει review units του αναδιπλούμενου smartphone Galaxy Fold σε δημοσιογράφους, bloggers και YouTubers για να το δοκιμάσουν και να πουν τη γνώμη τους εν όψη της επίσημης κυκλοφορίας της συσκευές αρχικά μόνο στην Αμερική στις 26 Απριλίου.

Ξεκίνησαν λοιπόν οι άνθρωποι να το τεστάρουν και οι πρώτες αναρτήσεις ήταν διθυραμβικές, με ωραίες

φωτογραφίες στο instagram, boomerang βίντεο με τα άνοιξε-κλείσε του Galaxy Fold και περιποιημένα hands-on video στο YouTube. Δεν πρόλαβαν όμως να περάσουν 2-3 μέρες και ξεκίνησαν τα προβλήματα.

Αρκετοί από όσους πήραν στα χέρια τους το Samsung Galaxy Fold ανεβάζουν σε twitter και άλλα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης ότι η οθόνη παρουσιάζει πρόβλημα ακριβώς στη μέση και το σημείο που διπλώνει, με αποτέλεσμα το κινητό σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις να αχρηστεύεται.

Δεν έχει πρόβλημα ο περίπλοκος μηχανισμός που έχει κατασκευάσει η Samsung και επιτρέπει το λύγισμα της οθόνης, το πρόβλημα να υπάρχει με το προσταυτικό φιλμ που καλύπτει την οθόνη και δεν πρέπει να αφαιρεθεί, όμως κάποιοι το έβγαλαν.

Η Samsung απάντησε επίσημα:
A limited number of early Galaxy Fold samples were provided to media for review. We have received a few reports regarding the main display on the samples provided. We will thoroughly inspect these units in person to determine the cause of the matter.
Separately, a few reviewers reported having removed the top layer of the display causing damage to the screen. The main display on the Galaxy Fold features a top protective layer, which is part of the display structure designed to protect the screen from unintended scratches. Removing the protective layer or adding adhesives to the main display may cause damage. We will ensure this information is clearly delivered to our customers.

PSA: There's a layer that appears to be a screen protector on the Galaxy Fold's display. It's NOT a screen protector. Do NOT remove it.
