BAFTA: Βραβείο καλύτερης ταινίας στο «12 χρόνια σκλάβος»

Η ταινία «12 Χρόνια Σκλάβος» αναδείχθηκε Καλύτερη Ταινία από τη Βρετανική Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου (BAFTA).
Η ταινία φέρει την υπογραφή του Στιβ ΜακΚουίν, σκηνοθέτη των ταινιών «Shame» και «Hunger» και βασίζεται στην αυτοβιογραφία που έγραψε ο Σόλομον Νόρθαπ το 1853.
Ο πρωταγωνιστής της ταινίας Τσιουέτελ Ετζίοφορ απέσπασε το βραβείο Α' Ανδρικού Ρόλου της Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας.
Η Κέιτ Μπλάνσετ τιμήθηκε με το βραβείο Α' Γυναικείου Ρόλου στην ταινία «Blue Jasmine».
