Το νέο Honda Civic Sedan θα είναι “το πιο φιλόδοξο νέο Civic στην 43η ιστορία του”

Όταν η Honda διατυμπανίζει πως το επόμενο Civic Sedan -που θα παρουσιαστεί στις 16 του μηνός– είναι το πιο φιλόδοξο νέο Civic στην 43η ιστορία του, τότε βάζει πολύ ψηλά τον πήχη, αυξάνοντας τις απαιτήσεις μας σχετικά με αυτό που θα δούμε σε μια εβδομάδα από σήμερα.

Η εταιρία λέει πως το νέο Civic Sedan

είναι “αναμφισβήτητα σπορ, εξελιγμένο και με μια νεανική νέα ματιά” αντλώντας αρκετά στοιχεία από το Civic Concept που είδαμε στην έκθεση της Νέας Υόρκης τον περασμένο Απρίλιο.

Θα γίνει το πρώτο μοντέλο της Honda που θα πωλείται με turbo κινητήρες στις Η.Π.Α, φορώντας δύο turbo Earth Dreams VTEC κινητήρες, με το νέο Civic εκτός από sedan να προσφέρεται στις Η.Π.Α επίσης σε Coupe, Si, πεντάθυρο hatchback, του οποίου η κατασκευή θα γίνεται στην Αγγλία, και σε Type R. Η η 10η γενιά του Civic αρχικά θα προσφέρεται με δύο κινητήρες, με τον έναν να είναι ο 1.500αρης VTEC turbo με άμεσο ψεκασμό –στην έκδοση Type S– που θα συνδυάζεται με ένα 6άρι μηχανικό κιβώτιο αλλά και με ένα CVT. Στην Ευρώπη αναμένεται να ξεκινήσει την καριέρα του από το 2017.

Θα εξοπλίζεται με αρκετά συστήματα ασφαλείας (Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Honda LaneWatch). To Civic Sedan θα κατασκευάζεται στα εργοστάσια της Honda στο Greensburg της Ιντιάνα και Alliston του Οντάριο, με τα Civic Coupe και Si να κατασκευάζονται μόνο στο εργοστάσιο του Alliston.

Στο εσωτερικό, το ταμπλό του έχει πιο απλή σχεδίαση, με την οθόνη του συστήματος ενημέρωσης και ψυχαγωγίας να βρίσκεται στο κέντρο του. Από κάτω της, βρίσκεται το σύστημα ελέγχου του κλιματισμού, με το τριάκτινο τιμόνι να είναι πολυλειτουργικό έχοντας πάνω του όλα τα απαραίτητα κουμπιά.
