Το VW Group η εταιρία που επένδυσε τα περισσότερα χρήματα στον τομέα έρευνας και ανάπτυξης το 2012

Όπως έδειξαν τα αποτελέσματα της ετήσιας μελέτης της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής (Κομισιόν) με τίτλο “Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard“, το VW Group είναι η εταιρία, ανάμεσα σε 2.000 που συμμετείχαν στην έρευνα, η οποία επένδυσε τα περισσότερα χρήματα στον τομέα έρευνας και ανάπτυξης το 2012, με τον Γερμανικό κολοσσό να έχει επενδύσει 9,5 δις ευρώ το 2012 (7,2 δις το 2011).

η μοναδική γερμανική εταιρία στη πρώτη δεκάδα της έρευνας με τον Martin Winterkorn, CEO της VW να δηλώνει πως η Ευρώπη πρέπει να επικεντρωθεί περισσότερο συστηματικά σε φιλικές προς το περιβάλλον τεχνολογίες και ανταγωνιστικά προϊόντα.

Στο τμήμα έρευνας και ανάπτυξης το VW Group απασχολεί περισσότερους από 40.000 υπαλλήλους οι οποίοι επικεντρώνονται στη συνεχή βελτίωση της αποδοτικότητας των κινητήρων, των κιβωτίων και των τεχνολογιών του αυτοκινήτου.

Ένα μεγάλο μερίδιο των επενδύσεων του VW Group έχει επενδυθεί στη περαιτέρω μείωση των εκπομπών CO2 του στόλου των οχημάτων της. Ως αποτέλεσμα των προσπαθειών αυτών, το VW Group ετοιμάζει περισσότερα αμιγώς ηλεκτρικά αυτοκίνητα, βελτιώνει την απόδοση των κινητήρων εσωτερικής καύσης και εργάζεται πάνω σε εναλλακτικές τεχνολογίες.

European Commission study: Volkswagen Group tops global R&D investment ranking

World leader with research and development costs of €9.5 billion in 2012Winterkorn: “We remain a powerhouse for ideas in the European automotive industry.

The Volkswagen Group is the world’s largest private sector R&D investor. That is one of the key findings of the European Commission’s annual “Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard” based on a sample of 2,000 international companies from various sectors of industry taken in 2012. With research and development costs of €9.5 billion (€7.2 billion in 2011), the Volkswagen Group tops the study’s ranking for the first time and is the only German company in the top ten.

The research and development activities of the Volkswagen Group with its team of over 40,000 R&D specialists focuses on expanding the Group’s model range and continually improving the efficiency of vehicles, technologies and drivetrains. A large share of the Group’s investment is dedicated to achieving a further significant reduction in the CO2 emissions of its new vehicle fleet. As a result, these efforts center on the electrification of the vehicle portfolio, improving the efficiency of the engine range and expanding the choice of alternative drive technologies.
