Το Peugeot 308 GTi θα παρουσιαστεί στο φετινό Goodwood

H Peugeot έχει επιβεβαιώσει την προσθήκη του 308 GTI στη γκάμα του μοντέλου, από το περασμένο φθινόπωρο, αλλά δεν είχε καθοριστεί η ημερομηνία παραγωγής του. Σήμερα, μαθαίνουμε ότι τα αποκαλυπτήρια του “καυτού” μοντέλου θα γίνουν στο φετινό Goodwood Festival of Speed.

To γαλλικό hothatch θα εφοδιάζεται με τον ίδιο κινητήρα που φοράει το RCZ-R, δηλαδή

τον 1.600αρης THP, απόδοσης 270 ίππων στις 6.000 σ.α.λ με 330 Nm ροπή διαθέσιμα από τις 1.900 μέχρι 5.500 σ.α.λ, που μαζί με το sport coupe θα είναι τα ισχυρότερα μοντέλο παραγωγής της Peugeot όλων των εποχών. Ο κινητήρας θα συνδυάζεται με ένα 6-τάχυτο μηχανικό κιβώτιο που θα στέλνει τη κίνηση στους μπροστά τροχούς. Μέχρι στιγμής δεν υπάρχει επιβεβαίωση ότι έχει αναμιχθεί η Peugeot Sport στην εξέλιξη του μοντέλου, αλλά αυτό ενδέχεται να γίνει αν πάρει το πράσινο φως η R έκδοση του.

Θα κυκλοφορήσει αργότερα μέσα στο 2015 και θα διαθέτει μεταξύ άλλων LED φωτιστικά σώματα, νέα ανάρτηση, Torsen μπλοκέ διαφορικό, σπορ εξάτμιση, μεγαλύτερα φρένα και πιο πλούσιο εξοπλισμό.

MOVING MOTOR SHOW TO HOST GLOBAL AND EUROPEAN PEUGEOT PREMIERES

Peugeot will use this year’s Goodwood Moving Motor Show on Thursday, June 25, to host the global and European debuts of two brand new cars.

A new 308 performance model will make its world premiere at the show, as one of the main static features on the French marque’s Goodwood stand while the muscular, 500bhp 308 R HYbrid makes its European bow.

Visitors to the Moving Motor Show will be able to book drives up the famous Goodwood Hill Climb course in three of Peugeot’s newest and most exciting models – the 308 GT 205 THP Hatchback, 308 GT Line PureTech 1.2-litre and the nippy 208 ‘GTi by Peugeot Sport’.

While the 308 performance model will only be driving up the Hill during the main Festival of Speed’s ‘First Glance’ section, Moving Motor Show visitors will be the first in the world to clap eyes on the static cars on Peugeot’s stand.

Goodwood Festival of Speed and Moving Motor Show founder, Lord March, said: “Since we launched the Moving Motor Show in 2010, it has gone from strength to strength and the fact that major manufacturers like Peugeot are now using it to host global reveals is testament to how far the event has already come.

“The Moving Motor Show is all about giving our visitors the chance to see concepts and premieres ahead of anyone else and it will be marvellous to have the world debut of its new Peugeot 308 performance model here at Goodwood this month.”

The sixth annual Moving Motor Show is expected to attract record crowds, eclipsing last year’s 34,000 visitors. Over the years, the show has hosted tens of thousands of people, up to 500 different models of car, which have completed an estimated 6,000 miles of driving on the famous 1.16-mile hill course.

Twenty car manufacturers will exhibit at this year’s event on June 25 andVisitors to the Moving Motor Show also get an exclusive ‘sneak preview’ to the Festival of Speed, as well as access to the Formula 1 Paddock presented by Sky Sports F1, Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ Concors d’Elegance, Michelin Supercar Paddock and all of the automotive show stands.
