Καθαρότεροι Euro 6 diesel κινητήρες από τη Renault

Από τον Ιούλιο η Renault θα ξεκινήσει την παραγωγή καθαρότερων diesel Euro 6 κινητήρων που θα εκπέμπουν λιγότερους ρύπους CO2 και NOx, με την γαλλική εταιρία να ανακοινώνει παράλληλα πως όσοι πελάτες της έχουν αυτοκίνητα με Euro 6 κινητήρες diesel, θα μπορούνε να τους αναβαθμίσουν δωρεάν

από τον Οκτώβριο.

Η Renault μεγαλώνει το εύρος λειτουργίας του συστήματος EGR, ενώ βελτιώνει την παγίδα NOx, κάτι που έχει ως αποτέλεσμα την μείωση των εκπομπών CO2 και NOx. Όπως εξηγεί η γαλλική εταιρία, έχει καταφέρει να διπλασιάσει το εύρος λειτουργίας πλήρους αποτελεσματικότητας των συστημάτων EGR, χωρίς να επηρεάζει την αξιοπιστία ή την ασφαλή λειτουργία του κινητήρα. Σε ότι αφορά την παγίδα NOx, η Renault λέει πως η βελτιωμένη απόδοσή της οφείλεται στην αύξηση της αποτελεσματικότητας και της συχνότητας λειτουργίας των εκκαθαρίσεων.

Η Renault προχώρησε στις βελτιώσεις αυτές των συστημάτων ελέγχου εκπομπών, μετά την ανάκληση του περασμένου Γενάρη, αλλά και για να υιοθετήσει καλύτερα το πρωτόκολλο RDE (Real Driving Emissions). Επί του παρόντος η Renault ετοιμάζει τους κινητήρες που θα πληρούν το πρωτόκολλο Euro 6d, που θα γίνει υποχρεωτικό από τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2017. Οι κινητήρες αυτοί εκτός του ότι θα συμμορφώνονται με τους ευρωπαϊκούς κανονισμούς εκπομπών στον κύκλο RDE, θα έχουν μειωμένες εκπομπές CO2 και NOx, σε σύγκριση με τους Euro 6b και Euro 6c κινητήρες.

Groupe Renault reduces its nitrogen oxide emissions on its Diesel EURO 6b vehicles in customer driving conditions

Groupe Renault has studied and deployed a number of actions designed to reduce the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions of its Diesel EURO 6b vehicles in customer driving conditions.These measures, which significantly reduce Nitrogen Oxide emissions in real life conditions without a noticeable impact on performance or fuel consumption will be applied in factory on Diesel EURO 6b vehicles from July 2016.From October 2016, customers who have already taken delivery of a Diesel EURO 6b vehicle can arrange to have the modifications applied, free of charge, via simple visit to their Renault dealer.

To benefit its customers, Groupe Renault is implementing two changes to the anti-pollution systems in its vehicles:

1/ Extension of the operating range of the EGR systems – a key element in the reduction of nitrogen oxide

The studies and tests carried out since July 2015 permitting Groupe Renault to double the operating range at full efficiency of the EGR systems, without impacting the reliability and safety of engine and vehicle operation under customer driving conditions.

2/ Enhanced performance of the NOx trap which allows, in addition to the EGR, the storage and processing of nitrogen oxide at regular intervals.The frequency and efficiency of the purges have been increased with a more robust system in order to better manage the wide range of different driving conditions.

The combination of these actions will on average, according to the conditions and driving style, reduce nitrogen oxide emissions in the extended EGR zone by half.

New EURO 6b Diesel models will include these features as a standard.Existing EURO 6b Diesel models will progressively include these features in production, starting from July 2016.From October 2016, customers having already taken delivery of a Diesel EURO 6b vehicle can request for these changes to be applied free of charge via a simple visit to their Renault dealer. Groupe Renault reiterates that all its vehicles are homologated according to the standards in force. The actions described represent a first step towards the future EURO 6d standard which will set a maximum European level for the emission of pollutants in real life conditions, via the introduction of a new protocol ‘RDE’ (Real Driving Emissions)

In addition, Groupe Renault is developing new technologies to prepare for the arrival of EURO 6d which are planned to arrive in September 2017 for the new types.
